Hikmicro Habrok 4K HE25L Night Vision & Thermal Imaging Binoculars

Binocular design

The new Habrok product family, including the Hikmicro Habrok 4K HE25L Night Vision and Thermal Imaging Binoculars from Hik, comprises multispectral binoculars that combine thermal imaging, night vision, daylight viewing, an IR laser and a laser rangefinder in one compact device.

The models differ in their built-in infrared illuminator. Models HH35L and HQ35L feature a wavelength of 850 nanometres and a range of approximately 400 metres. Models HH35LN and HQ35LN are equipped with an IR illuminator with a wavelength of 940 nanometres, which is sufficient for around 350 metres. A particular feature of this model is that it is invisible to both humans and wildlife.

The HH35L and HH35LN versions feature a thermal detector with a resolution of 384 x 288 pixels, while the two HQ binoculars have a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. The two HE25L and HE25LN models feature a night vision sensor with 4K resolution.

The features and night vision module are the same across all devices. The image intensifier offers a very high resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Focus is adjusted using the ring on the head. As the product name suggests, all binoculars are equipped with an 35 millimetre lens for thermal imaging, while the lens for night vision measures 31 millimetres.

The OLED screen displays images and video at 1920 x 1080 pixels. The modern OLED matrix offers the advantages of particularly low power consumption, temperature stability and especially vivid colour reproduction. In addition, this panel does not produce a grey haze, a typical feature of LCDs.

The laser rangefinder can measure objects up to one kilometre away, which is particularly useful for identifying wildlife.

The thermal sensor's colour palette includes Red Hot, Black Hot, White Hot, Iron and false colour. With a sensitivity of less than 20 microkelvin, the sensor can detect the finest temperature differences, such as those of a branch or blade of grass. The Hot Spot function is an intelligent way to keep the observed thermal source in view at all times.

Depending on the type of use, the 4 replaceable batteries provide power for 6 to 8 hours. As these are standard 18650 Li-ion batteries, we recommend ordering additional batteries at the same time.

The thermal imaging and night vision binoculars are also equipped with a video recorder, which provides 64 gigabytes of storage. In addition, users can use Wi-Fi to stream the action live to up to 4 other observers, on their smartphones or tablets. The required app is linked below.
