The Front Serrations (FS) provide an additional gripping surface when handling the slide, giving the operator a secure hold even with wet or sweaty hands. This new design offers professional users the advantage of conducting a quick press check before and after shooting. The user can grip the slide with the weak hand on the front serration and move it backward until a clear view of the chamber is possible to ensure a cartridge is properly loaded.
When performed correctly, the hand does not come near the muzzle of the pistol.
